Spreading the Good News!

I just received the edits back for Deamhan and I have to say, I'm having a blast going through my novel and reading the editor's comments. I'm ecstatic that Charlotte Gledson, the editor loves it!

From the look of what she wrote in her email, she really enjoyed it!

Her personal webpage is http://www.darkfictionediting.co.uk/ I highly recommend her! She's awesome at what she does.

This is very exciting. It just makes my faith in my work all the stronger!
I hope to get through these edits in about two weeks. If things work out well, I should have a set publication date for my novel from my publisher soon!

Also, I've received eight chapters for The Carriers, my novella. I was so scared to open the emails because this is my first attempt at writing a novella. I've received great feedback from the editor along with important things I've either missed or described too much of. I'm currently writing the second installment and I have to admit, it's killing me. When it comes to writing, I prefer 70,000 - 85,000 word novels. However, that doesn't mean that I'll try writing almost anything. The shortest piece I wrote was about 323 words which was published online a few years ago.

I never thought that writing something this short would prove to be so hard. It's a learning process which I plan to overcome!

I also received a rough draft of the cover for the novella. It's exactly what I've wanted and I can't wait for the finished product!

Damn, I love being a writer!

Yahoo's Most Terrifying Films

Sipping on my morning coffee, I came across an article on Yahoo that almost made me choke.

View Listing Here

Do you agree with this list?

I personally didn't find The Blair Witch Project that scary. Candyman didn't scare me. In fact, I found it entertaining. Contagion wasn't scary at all and My Bloody Valentine . . . . really Yahoo?

I do agree that Deliverance was pretty scary in a backwater hick sort of way. The Serpent and the Rainbow fits the list.

In my opinion, they should've included The Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Fright Night (original,) Howling II, and Psycho just to name a few or gave them honorable mentions.

Here are my top ten scariest movies (in no particular order)

1. Psycho
2. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
3. Howling II
4. Fright Night (original)
5.  A Nightmare on Elm Street
6.  Exorcist
7. The Changeling
8. Hellraiser
9. Friday the 13th
10. Poltergeist

Honorable Mentions

Saw
Salem's Lot
The Mist (original)
The Shining
The Thing (original)
Ju- On
Halloween
